«Elephant Reach» is located on the Thissa – Kirinda Road (Kirinda turn-off) in Yala Junction, Kirinda. It lies between Tissamaharama (often called “Tissa”) and Kirinda, on the main road that connects those towns. The hotel is just off the main road, so once you are on the correct connecting road, it’s a short drive.

From the Southern Expressway / Highway

If you are using Sri Lanka’s southern highway network (E01, E02 etc.):

1. Head south on the Southern Expressway (E01) from Colombo or your origin, toward Matara / Hambantota.
2. Exit the expressway toward Godagama (around the 127 km marker) and join the A2 toward Matara.
3. Continue along A2 toward Tangalle / Hambantota / Tissamaharama.
4. When you reach Tissamaharama, drive toward Kirinda. You will pass a place called “Yoda Wewa” on your left.
5. After passing Elephant Reach Hotel on your right
6. Turn left onto the Kirinda–Palatupana / Kirinda road.
7. Follow signposts (turns) for 1‑2 km to reach the hotel via local roads.

Via main roads without the highway (coastal / inland routes)

If you are not using the expressway or want a more scenic route:

• You can choose the coastal route (via Galle, Matara, then eastwards) which is more scenic.
• Or the inland route via Ratnapura / Udawalawe, which is faster but less scenic.
• Once you approach Tissamaharama, use the Tissa → Kirinda road toward Yala Junction. The hotel is located exactly at the junction turn‐off.
